Maison Alyzee is my go to French pastry shop in the bay to purchase cakes for any special occasion. I got the Sweet Mom ($54) for my mom's birthday. The cake comes with a Light Coconut biscuit , Soft Coconuts & Vanilla Cremeux, Confit of organic Strawberry & Raspberry, and Glacage raspberry. This was extremely decadent. I really wish there was another layer of light coconut biscuit because had coconut shavings and gave the cake some texture. Majority of the cake was the soft coconut cremeux which we thought was so smooth but I was it didn't overpower the whole cake. The strawberry and raspberry perfectly balanced out the flavors of the creamy coconut. The coconut flavor was also super natural and fragrant unlike most coconut flavored desserts. Overall an amazing cake with amazing presentation for a special occasion.

My top 1 is Passiano. It is one of the best passion fruit cakes I have ever tasted. It has perfect texture. I would order a larger Passiano for my birthday if I could. Top 2 is 100% pistachio. The crunchy chocolate layer on the outside really adds a nice taste! Last two cakes: Matcha Raspberry: As a Matcha lover, I have a high standard for matcha. I think they could have done better in the matcha selection. Personally I would like more tea flavor in it. The inside has really good raspberry jam and I like this combination. The middle white cream could be a different flavor (maybe add a bit raspberry to make it sour). Harmony: it's good! But personally I would like a bitter taste of it. Anyway! I recommend this place:)

Maison Alyzee is a wonderful pastry shop to stop by. The counter is a feast for the eyes. The pastries lined up are so beautiful and delicate. Service is kind and knowledgeable of the pastries. Coffee Eclair: So sad but I give this a 3/5 because the choux was soggy! A soggy eclair is the worst and is what makes or breaks an eclair. However, the coffee filling and chocolates on top were beautiful. Most pastries I've had are usually a hit. Next time I would go for the other pastries that don't have a risk of being soggy.
